 Welcome to Vermont On behalf of the City of Burlington and Burlington International Airport, we want to welcome you to Burlington for this year's 52nd Annual Conference of the NEC-AAAE This year's theme, 'Taking Off in the "Green" Mountains' will showcase the commitment BTV is taking towards a 'Greener' way of business that will impact the trend towards innovative methods and thinking to conserve and maximize our limited resources. The still shaky economic environment, unstable fuel pricing, and many other factors makes it essential that we all plan and execute ÒsmartÓ while we strive to maintain growing, vibrant, cost-conscious airports. We hope that your visit to the Green Mountains and the Lake Champlain region provides an opportunity for participation, enjoyment and relaxation. There are many attractions in the Champlain Valley including Vermont Teddy Bear, Ben & Jerrys, Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms and the popular resort areas in the Green Mountains less than an hour away. We hope this conference program will be meaningful and provide new ideas that will enable all of us to better manage and operate our facilities Along with this year's conference committee, we look forward to seeing you in BTV.
