On behalf of the entire staff of the Philadelphia International Airport, we are delighted to invite you to the 50th Annual Conference of the AAAE Northeast Chapter. We are extremely excited to host this year's golden anniversary conference, appropriately themed "Setting the Gold Standard".

The Northeast Chapter is the first of the six AAAE chapters to reach this anniversary milestone, and we are proud of our heritage and accomplishments. As is true with all important landmark events, many hours of planning and coordination are required to ensure a successful outcome. We can assure you that the NEC Conference Committee has been working hard to achieve that goal.

These are both exciting and challenging times for our industry. Whether it is safety or security, new airline entrants or mergers, green Airport initiatives, FAA reauthorization or airspace redesign, our aviation environment is constantly changing and evolving. We are thrilled to be collaborating with the Northeast Chapter in presenting a stimulating agenda, and we eagerly anticipate your attendance and participation.

While Philadelphia might be most famously known as the birthplace of American democracy, you'll find it an ideal destination for fun and discovery. Our city is filled with museums, cultural centers, performing arts venues and innovative eateries. A wealth of cultural riches can be found in Philadelphia, including restored historical homes, the United States' first zoo and three centuries worth of architectural masterpieces. The City of Brotherly Love offers something here for everyone to enjoy!
